Can a personage own an allergic criticism to a fixation device showing up within the form of hives?

two weeks after having a fixation device graft to assist with a fracture of my upper arm/shoulder I broke out next to a severe case of hive that have lasted four months near no signs of letting up. I thought it might be a reaction to the headache meds. I stopped them but still have the hives continually day by day. I do not have a history of hives except beside certain anti-biotics. Also own extreme soreness around device. Thoughts? Approach?Can a personage own an allergic criticism to a fixation device showing up within the form of hives?
I don't think its impossible that you're allergic. Usually those metals are stainless steel or titanium which few ancestors are allergic to, but people can be allergic to anything. I know a nurse that was extremely allergic to bone cement (the stuff they use to anchor devices similar to artificial hips) and could have died if she hadn't be in the hospital when she react.
I'd think its more potential that you were allergic to the meds you be taking, how long ago did you stop? As far as a plan of action, you really want to check with your ortho to see what be used in the implantation (they can also confirm that the device is properly placed-another frequent rationale of pain), then hold that info to an allergist to see if they can test you for an allergy. In the meantime, own you been trying any antihistamine? Benadryl have always be effective for my hives. Good luck!
they may own administered antibiotics to you during the surgery. Pain meds may also be giving you the hives. If so then you also inevitability to stop taking the meds for the hives to go away. Suggest you turn on a diet of fruits and vegetables and water. Don't drink the stroke water. Get adjectives your drinking water from purified river machines (it's 25 cents per gallon).
