Are prominent ridges surrounded by fingernails average?
They are common. . .I dont know nearly normal.
If I'm not mistaken, I muse it has to do beside something
that you are missing in your diet or a deficiency of some nutrient.
go to : www.WebMD.com, check out: fingernail abnormalities
Ridges within the fingernails usually indicate there is something wrong. My arthritis Dr. used to other look at my fingernails for something. I believe it was for psoriasis--which is related to my particular arthritis. (I be diagnosed when I was 18 and could never think through why he would always remove my fastener polish) My dermatologist also looks at them. I believe that it is also a sign of a vitamin deficiency. You should probably give the name a dermatologist to be seen. It couldn't hurt .
Take Care~
