Are Scilicone deposits on the lungs cause by asbestos?

I was asked by a friend as she be looking at an E-ray I had if I have ever been surrounded by contact with Asbestos? I replied I have. She then said "You own silicone deposits on your lungs"
A solicitor said that silicone Deposits were not cause by asbestos. Is this correct??Are Scilicone deposits on the lungs cause by asbestos?
That is correct. Asbestos does not cause silicone deposits on the lung. However working surrounded by a 'dirty' industrial environment without wearing a camouflage for protection will allow any airborne dust to settle in the lung. If you own been working surrounded by such conditions with asbestos next it could be that you will have asbestos as ably as silicon on your lung. If that is the covering I suggest you get further checks.
No they arent cause by asbestos. Although silicone deposits in your lungs can inflict silicosis which is very similar to asbestos contained by your lungs.
Asbestos exposure causes fibrotic change in the lung tissue. On a chest xray, this would show up as white (opaque) streaks contained by the lungs. 'Silicone deposits' doesn't sound right. She may own meant silicosis, but that's a different condition.
Your solicitor is correct. Asbestos exposure may front to asbestosis and has be associated with mesothelioma.
