If we start out with a sound design and it deteriorates through imperfect reproduction we would expect to see vestiges of functional components that no longer function because they become flawed.
Kinda like a watertight picture of a beautiful Flower,
when xeroxed over & over again , the picture deteriorates ?
Now , Do you surmise a component called :
